Coralynn Scheifelbein

Coralynn Schiefelbein began studying dance at age nine. At 14, she was invited to study advanced ballet at Creighton University, and studied intermediate ballet, tap and jazz, receiving all A’s. At 16, she performed as Aurora for the Asheville Ballet’s Sleeping Beauty. She competed at the Carolina Dance Masters and received a platinum award as a finalist. Schiefelbein has worked with Raquelle Davis of Alvin Ailey Dance Company, Alex Wong of Miami City Ballet and So You Think You Can Dance, and Dres Reid, a dancer for Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson. She has studied with Kira Ivanovsky and Valerie smith concha of Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, and trained with the Manassas Ballet Theatre, where she performed the principal role of Duck in Peter and the Wolf and more. She also taught beginning hip hop, intermediate and advanced jazz for MBT’s academy. She danced the lead role of Nina in Shawn short’s original ballet Vampire Suite for Dissonance Dance Theatre. Schiefelbein has taught at various studios around the DMV area and she is currently a dancer with Dancin’ Unlimited Jazz Dance Company.
