Philip Smith-Cobbs

Philip Smith-Cobbs moved back to Northern Virginia several years ago after dancing
with Atlanta Ballet for several seasons. At the age of eight, Philip began training with
Classical Ballet Theatre in Herndon. He also attended summer intensives at
Richmond Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and School of American Ballet. After graduating
from high school, he went on to dancing professionally with the Atlanta Ballet. While
dancing with Atlanta Ballet, he performed in Carmina Burana, Cinderella, Dracula,
Moulin Rouge, Pinocchio, The Nutcracker, The Sleeping Beauty, The Four
Temperaments, Romeo and Juliette, Snow White, Who Cares, and many contemporary
works. In addition to performing, Philip has had the chance to work with renowned
choreographers Twyla Tharp, Wayne McGregor, James Kudelka, and Helen Pickett.
