Jessica Werfel

Jessica is a movement artist from Virginia, who trained and found her love for dance at the Russell School of Ballet. She graduated in 2024 from Elon University with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance and Choreography, B.A. in Arts Administration, and a Business Administration minor. In Fall 2022, Jessica’s choreography “Just Becoming” was selected to be in Elon’s Dancing in the Landscape Performance of 2022. Spring 2023, she was selected to study abroad at the Florence Dance Center in Italy. At Elon, she was a Rhoades Scholar, and conducted research on dance improvisation for healing, care, and community, which was presented Spring 2024. Recently, she had an internship at Dance Place and attended summer dance intensives with Company E and Paul Taylor American Modern Company. She has also danced professionally with Kista Tucker Insights Modern Dance Company. Jessica is currently a member of Gin Dance Company and teaches dance throughout Northern Virginia and DC.
